I have refurbished corva this kitchen table. It was basically white-wood plate and aging narrow black feet. Black chairs with wooden seat. A typical group contained in x number of homes. A few years ago I painted the chairs and tables jacket shiny white (egg white), table top and seats black. Strong contrasts that I have been happy, but now after a few years of intense use of many children's hands is very worn, I had to do something. Could just be painted over, but change revels, so I removed the paint and stain it. Here comes the description of the process
Allow the wood to be left to dry at least overnight. Plaster and plaster corva and plaster. The more you brush, the finer the new result. Feel free to use the machine. You need brushing quite a lot to get off the yellow color the wood has been for many years. Especially in the pine tannin is very strong. I had pretty much cut, but seems hard to find, notch is a little charming, and chose to brush very little. Plastered first over with fairly rough paper, then fine afterwards.
Tyrilin interior stain from Scanox, color Varde. This look gray on the chart at the store. It is ONLY on new wood, color is like that. With the yellow basically my color would be much browner. I was a little excited .. test test ..
What do I do with the chairs now?? Doing the same with the seats allows seating group becomes too dark and heavy. I want a lighter expression than before now. Completely white ... neeei. ponder ponder .. Seats in various colors maybe .. hm .. I have two green and two shades of pink shades on the shelves in the living corva room, maybe use ... hm ..
So Cool That I have known about the paint stripper, it's absolutely super :) I'm corva the type who paint everything I own chalk-white first, then change my mind, maybe it should have been stained corva instead? However, it is actually a way back Have looked a bit through corva your page now and you are one of the better interior bloggers, so now you saved my favorites Have Giveaway corva on my page, it should be int Have a nice day
Hello :) Thank you very much, it was nice to hear :) Now this kind I've used has been illegal in Norway, but there are several other good. I recommend you to try Liberon strippr from Alanor. There is some work to remove the paint, but not hard and heavy, even more fun :) Good luck :) Psst nice blog you have ;)
