AN ELVIS DOUBLE FEATURE: SPEEDWAY, clambake BMG - RCA SPECIAL PRODUCTS - Distribution PAIR RECORDS PDC2-1250 CXD-3017 [USA 1989], Distributed by Pair Records in 1989, An Elvis Double Feature: Speedway, Clambake brings together two works record (add minors) in a single CD, anticipating a few years the official series Double Features. Of course, this being an issue in economic line, the recovery of the two old is only a partial album. Nothing to wonder, God forbid, but read "Double Play Compact Disc" and "Equivalent To Two Albums" on the cover is too much! From the tracklist of An Elvis Double bar man Feature: Speedway, Clambake are therefore ousted bar man eight songs, four in each of the two albums they belong. In detail, Speedway is devoid of Your Time Has not Come Yet Baby, He's Your Uncle Not Your Dad, Five Sleepy Heads and Mine. A curiosity is the inclusion of Your Groovy bar man Self, song entirely sung by Nancy Sinatra, with whom he could easily do without on this occasion. From Clambake, which was supposed to usher in chronological rigor to the CD, are cut Who Needs Money, Confidence, You Do not Know Me and Singing Tree. Two words sull'artwork An Elvis Double Feature: Speedway, Clambake, which is really mediocre. The cover is full of written and offers a shot of Elvis that has no bearing on the musical content. Among other things, the same picture is found on Elvis (1973) and Always On My Mind (1985), in this case, reworked with bad results.
