For those who like a holiday of sea life

One of the dishes that I have pursued for years, while living in the States, after seeing him on TV and magazines, and 'was definitely the clambake. Yet not 'hard, and' a simple dish of steamed vegetables and fish ... but it has its charm if done in the right way. The clambake and 'typical of New England, a region famous for the freshness and the quality' of fish and shellfish and lobsters above.
The original method of cooking corporate catering - and it 'the part that struck me so much - and' steaming in a hole dug in the sand, using stones as heat transfer fluid and the algae to cover everything, alternado fresh fish, mostly 'shellfish and lobster or shrimp with ears of corn, potatoes, carrots and sometimes even the chorizo. Usually, corporate catering it covers the whole with wet jute sacks in seawater, in order to allow an optimal cooking. It takes several hours before everything is cooked, but after that ... and 'a feast for the eyes and the palate !!!
The version that I propose, taken from the magazine Martha Stewart, and 'a great alternative to do at home on the stove, but you can' do - always using a deep pot (I used the pot for the pasta with lots of basket colander ) - even at the campsite or at the beach (if there 'permission to turn on the burners).
The secret to the success of this dish and 'add ingredients in precise, those that cook more' long ones by cooking more 'short. The algae are optional, but if you find them, definitely more aggiungerando '"taste of the sea" at all.
How dose of ingredients corporate catering will carry the original version of the recipe, which serves 8 people. But I adjusted my way and I did not use live lobsters, 'cause I do not have the courage to kill, so I took the lobster tails (one each). By the way, I forgot to put the Spanish sausage, but not 'I missed!
According to tradition, when cooked, should be served on a table covered with sheets of newspaper, no cutlery, it 'plates, so that' alal end, any leftovers should be "wrapped" in sheets corporate catering of newspaper and thrown away, no mess nothing !
X 8 Ingredients: 2-3 medium onions, cut into quarters 6 cloves of garlic 1 bottle of beer 1 cup water fresh seaweed (optional) 700 g new potatoes 450 grams of dried sausage, chorizo, sliced coarse salt 3 lobsters (I used 1 lobster tail per person) 36 littleneck clams / clam 4 ears of corn, 1 kg mussels 700 gr prawns in shell 2 tablespoons butter (optional) 2 lemons, cut into wedges
At this point all the ingredients should be cooked. Carefully remove from the basket and place in a large ciotlo well. Strain the liquid and that is' formed on the bottom of the pot and let mix a tablespoon of butter, if desired. Pour on the plate with shellfish and serve with lemon wedges.

Now that we are in the middle of summer I wanted to suggest a great cruise. No, I was not thinking about a worldly holiday inside creative creations of those huge floating city from the hectic life that you pierce on to the rocks, and when the Captain gets on the lifeboat for primono. I had in mind something different, more intimate atmosphere, able to enrich themselves rather than The industry cruise.
Well, how about a week to go away for a stroll along the rugged crust of Maine aboard a small sailboat? creative creations The Maine Windjammer Association offers several boats leaving from Rockland and Camden. The experience, apparently, one of those that leave their mark. If you are people who amanoche soascoltare the sound of a flute in front of a sunset, to be lulled by the waves of the ocean, creative creations learn the secrets of seafaring life, but especially if you are people who like to share (preferably the bathroom) , then this trip is definitely for you. Of course, life on board is not an aspect of the holiday; sometimes it comes down from the boat for visiting lighthouses and fishing villages or simply to enjoy a clambake on the beach (cos the clambake creative creations will explain Another time).

So, you're having a clambake? Whether cooking on the shores bartender school of the ocean, in an outdoor grill, stove or in the comfort of your apartment, it is a great way to enjoy seafood New England phenomenal. Based on the tradition of cooking fish over hot coals buried in the earth Native American, is it grown in popularity over the years and can be enjoyed by all.
The first step is going to choose the ingredients. If you are lucky enough bartender school to have a store nearby that sells fresh lobster, clams and mussels, you can do so, but consider first if you need to transport your fresh fish to another location, and how it will package to keep cool. Another option is to buy fresh lobster on-line and have lobster shipped overnight to your location. If you buy your lobster online, make sure to plan ahead and place your order on-line prior to the date of your event. Make your order and you are on your way to a party!
Next, you will need to decide where you will do your cooking. If you are cooking in a public place, especially bartender school if you plan to dig a pit clambake, you will need permission from you local public car parks or government office. If you are cooking at home, you are ready to go. No matter where you are making your own kitchen, the idea is to generate bartender school steam while keeping your food packed together. Some renunciation is the use of charcoal and rely solely bartender school on the hot rocks and seaweed to produce enough heat and steam for the "cooking" food, but coal is perfectly adequate.
One of the fun things about doing a clambake is that you are free to choose what you like in your cooking. Recommend to only do lobsters and corn, or want to add a bit 'of everything. This is a time that can satisfy your personal preferences!
1 LB lobster shellfish, including one or more of: mussels, oysters, bartender school clams / steamers LB sausage (linguica, kielbasa or andouille recommended) 1/2 onion, bartender school cut into quarters 1 ear of corn beer, 2 cans or less, or water
Dig your own grave, making it wide enough and deep enough to hold the ingredients. Fill the hole with charcoal, light the fire and surround the coals with medium / large rocks. Do not cover the coal because it could put the fire out. Let the rocks are heated so that they are warm enough that a sprinkle of water will bounce off. If you are using a charcoal grill, remove the grate from the grill and follow bartender school the same instructions bartender school as for a well.
When the coals are burning brightly, they start layering your ingredients: seaweed, bartender school clams / oysters, linguica / sausage (if using), potatoes, corn, lobster, most seaweed and then a layer of wet burlap that you have thoroughly soaked in beer to help seal the moisture and keep the steam in progress. If you are using a grill, you will not need the canvas and can simply close the top.
You will need a larger dish that you can find. Do not worry if you do not have a fancy, expensive dish in which to cook your lobster / clam boil. The lobster pots inexpensive just great work. Depending on the size and is finding the ingredients you use, you can usually cook enough food for 2-4 people with one of these vessels.
Heat a tablespoon of butter in the pot and add the sausage and onion. bartender school Saute until the onion is softened and the sausage begins to cook through. Then add a layer of seafood. Pour in the beer and then place lobster bartender school and corn in the pot so that all the food is well packed in. Bring to a boil, cover the pot and cook for 12-15 minutes.
Serve the fish with plenty of melted bartender school butter, so everyone has enough for dunking steamers and lobster! Lemon wedges can be squeezed over seafood. Nothing completes a clambake or lobster bake like delicious New England clam chowder, cole slaw, and Boston baked beans.
